The Grand Lake Regional Cancer Center prides itself on personal patient care, and excellence in healthcare. As part of the center’s comprehensive cancer treatment, a new option for men diagnosed with prostate cancer will help the center live up to that mission. It’s called SpaceOAR™ Hydrogel, and Grand Lake Regional Cancer Center is the first and only cancer center in the area to offer this treatment.

 

What is SpaceOAR Hydrogel?

SpaceOAR Hydrogel is an absorbable hydrogel that temporarily creates space between

the prostate and the rectum, reducing the radiation dose delivered to the rectum during

prostate radiation therapy.
